About

Ever since I was a kid watching my dad take photos with his old SLR, I've been fascinated by the way light, time, and emotion can be captured in a single frame. He'd explain aperture, shutter speed and the built-in light meter, and something about that combination of art and precision stuck with me.
My photography is about expression — not just in people's faces, but in the world around us. A crashing wave, an aurora dancing across the sky, a bird soaring through morning light — these all speak their own language. I rarely plan my shots in detail; instead, I hunt for them. Whether it's searching for wildlife or waiting for the Milky Way to show itself, I'm drawn to scenes where the whole frame feels alive from top to bottom.
Through my work, I try to portray the beauty, vastness, and complexity of our world — how people with so little can seem so content, how an orangutan mother shows such love and intelligence, and how small we really are beneath the Milky Way.
Photography connects deeply with my other passions — hiking and technology. On an 80 km hike along Tasmania's Overland Track, I shaved every gram I could from my pack but still carried nearly two kilograms of camera gear, because capturing that landscape mattered more than comfort. Later, I love applying my technical skills to bring those images to life in post-processing.
Even without a camera, I still see the world through a photographer's eye — like noticing the golden light on a blossoming gum tree where rainbow lorikeets are playing. Photography helps me stay connected to that beauty and share it with others.
Each photograph is my way of sharing how I see the world — expressive, imperfect, and full of quiet awe. I hope they invite you to see it a little differently too. If you'd like to connect or explore my work further, please reach out.
